A Temple of Beauty!

ll ॐ नमो भगवते रामकृष्णाय ll

Dear Bhaktas,

From the heights of the Shikhara, let us descend to see the beauty that this new abode of Thakurji is!  Be it domes and curves, the marble images and spires, brackets and ribs... the whole structure for any angle is an exquisite visual poetry, a feast for the eyes.... a coolant for the soul! Just look at the grandeur..

The front face of the temple has three deities adorning the upper part.  Sri Ganesha sits above the main entrance, in a special wide niche, blowing obstacles away! Goddess Saraswati and Lakshmi sit on either ends bestowing wisdom and prosperity. You salute them before you climb up. On the eastern side is Bhakta-Hanuman immersed in singing glories of Sri Raghuveera. You see him when circumambulating the temple.

A pair of elephants, placed on either sides of the front stairway,

give you a royal
welcome.

Both front corners are decorated with a spacious canopy each on four pillars. One could also take the eastern twin stairways or the western ramp and stairway, (both flanked by dainty light-canopies) to enter the prayer hall on the first floor via the covered Parikrama path.

The wall of the terrace of the prayer hall is replete with small domes and 'urn' shaped decorations.

Cornices and brackets enhance the beauty of every shade, curved or straight.

Golden coloured cement 'Kalashas' top each samall dome, and there are five of them atop the four Mehrab-domes. Mehrab  itself is typical Rajasthani architecture.

The cluster of domes, small, big and little ones, seen particularly from the four corner views is sheer elegant poetry.

Here, with the magnificence and grandeur of the shrine, one asks the question, "Did you see the Sun round the corner?....

We bring you twenty more exquisite images and leave you here, with a promise for more, as the event draws near, just round the corner....

  1. no words to describe the beauty of the divine abode of Thakurji. the word 'beautiful' itself is insufficient . the credit also goes to the photographer who not only captured the photos beautifully but also describes it in such a vivid way that one really feels oneself in the midst of divine ambiance.
